Option 1: LCP Classes + Solo/Duet/Trio

​Those who wish to perform/compete a solo, duet or trio are required to enroll in LCP Class + Run-through. During this LCP class on Wednesdays the dancers begin with an artistic development exercise, then they run-through their solos, duets, and trios. 

• Dancers with a Ballet Variation are required to enroll in LCP Ballet on Tuesday and Thursdays in addition to Ballet 8 on Saturday.  PBT is also highly recommended. 

• Dancers with a Jazz solo/duet/trio are required to enroll in 2 Ballet classes and LCP Jazz.

• Dancers with a Contemporary solo/duet/trio are required to enroll in 2 Ballet classes and LCP Contemporary.

• Dancers with a Hip-Hop or Musical Theatre solo/duet/trio are required to enroll in the LCP class in that style.

Option 2: LCP Clases Only

• Ballet - Enrollment in LCP or Ballet 8 includes 30 minutes of Pointe work. Ballet students who are on Pointe are required to take the full Ballet /Pointe class twice per week. Those who are not on Pointe will be dismissed for the last 30 minutes of class. LCP students who are not on pointe may choose 1 ballet class per week, but they will not be eligible to perform in the recital.

• Contemporary - No co-enrollment requirements, however enrollment in ballet is strongly recommended. 

• Jazz - No co-enrollment requirements, however enrollment in ballet is strongly recommended.

• Musical Theatre - No co-enrollment requirements. Students will learn various theatre dance techniques including dancing in heels, tap may be incorporated. 

• Hip-Hop - No co-enrollment requirements.

 

LCP dancers are invited to participate in optional workshops to make connections with professional artists and companies.

Tuition for classes is charged based on the number of classes per week and is the same rate as all other LoMastro dance classes.  Class tuition is payable in 2 installments, the first upon registration and the 2nd on January 15.  Solo/Duet/Trio fees are additional, learn more.

Dancers who want to perform group routines should audition for our Dance Company in addition to LCP.

Recital 2025

Recital participation is highly encouraged, but not required. Those who wish to opt out must notified the office prior to Nov 1 to avoid being charged for costume fees.  

• For LCP Ballet classes, only those taking 2 classes per week are eligible to perform in the Recital.  A non-recital LCP Ballet class will continue to be held for those not in the recital. 

• LCP Contemporary, LCP Jazz, LCP Musical Theatre, and LCP Hip-Hop will perform in the Recital.  Those who opt out of Recital will learn the choreography in a removable spot. Learning and rehearsing choreography is valuable whether or not the dancer performs on stage.
