Take on a new physical hobby which will get you in shape, engage your mind and drop weight without it seeming like work. Become a dancer.... or just look like one. Improve flexibility, gain greater self confidence, work through stress, take a break from life. You will come to plan your week around your dance schedule once you realize it's impact on your sanity and the quality of your life. Consistency is the key to weight loss and good health. If you love what you do, consistency is easy. Join us, it will transform you and it's FUN!

 

Attire

Wear loose fitting clothing that you can sweat in - jazz or yoga pants and a tank top would be great - along with appropriate dance shoes.

 

Tuition

Missed classes may be made up in any class within one month of the absence.

Tuition Options

  • SIngle Class Drop-In: $20 *call ahead to register
  • 10-Class Pass: $180 ($18 per class)
  • 17-Class/Full Semester Enrollment: $266 (approx. $15 per class)

 

Enrollment

Enrollment is ongoing. Pre-registration is required. Classes with less than 5 registered students will be cancelled. Online registratoin is preferred or you can download and print the registration form the enrollment page.

 

 

Adult Class Schedule: September 8, 2010 - May 28, 2011

Floor Barre Fusion: A Conditioning Class for Core Strength & Flexibility (Ages 13 - Adult)
 
Thur | 7:15-8:15 PM | Shannon

This hour class begins with floor barre (ballet barre exercises done on the floor) and then continues with exercises for strength and flexibility. Designed to correct alignment, refine technique, build strength, develop maximum turn-out and extension. Ever wonder how professional ballerinas get those long, lean, toned muscles? Believe us it is not from the gym! Recommended for injury prevention and rehabilitation. Dancers and non-dancers are welcome.

Ballet 101
 
Call for availability

This traditional ballet class begins at the barre and then flows to the center. The class is structured for the beginner, but also works well as a technique refresher and strengthening class for those with previous experience. Ballet will give you poise and strength while toning your muscles and burning calories. Ballet shoes required.

Jazz 101
 
Call for availability

Dance away the stress of the day with this fun, energetic Jazz class! The class begins with a center floor warmup for strength and flexibility. Then, progresses across the floor with steps to get your heart pumping and finally to the center for a combination that will leave you energized and ready to take on the rest of your day! Shoes: Jazz shoes or socks

Tap 101

This 45 minute class introduces you the wonderful world of tap. Learn basic rhythms and combinations which are the foundation of this incredibly fun dance genre. Take a well needed diversion from your weekday routine! Make some noise! Tap Shoes required.

Tap 201
 
Call for availability

An intermediate approach to tap. Enjoy an eclectic mix of big band, swing, broadway, pop, and rock music as you explore interesting rhythms and stylized routines. The emphasis here is to create rhythmic combinations at an Adv. Beginner/Intermediate level while building choregraphic vocabulary and skills. Tap Shoes required.
